People usually take pictures to capture moments, feelings, beautiful scenery, interesting compositions, in order to remember places, tell stories, for projects, in order to share them with others. Pictures are most often shared online on media cites such as Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest. People share photos to gain recognition, share achievements, self-esteem, belonging, and positive affirmation about how they live. Usually all my photographs are taken on my iPhone, just because whenever I see something I want to get a photo of, it’s the only device I have on me. I usually just take pictures of the environment around me, whenever something really catches my eye such as buildings, or natural things, food or to capture moments with my friends.  I always take the most pictures when traveling because the environment is so different and I want to remember the trip. What makes pictures interesting are interesting compositions and perspectives, Photoshop manipulation.

6. World’s Fair

Worlds Fair

The host city in 2020 would be Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the worlds fair. Rio is the second largest city in Brazil and the third largest metropolitan area in South America. I think it would be an interesting place to hold the fair and it is also one of the most visited cities in the southern hemisphere. Rio holds one of the wonders of the world (Christ the redeemer), which is iconic to Brazil. The theme for the expo would be “Innovative preservation.” Brazil contains a majority of the rainforest. Deforestation of the amazon has become a concern and in 2020 hopefully it won’t become a major problem. The amazon contains many of our world’s resources and is home to many species, which is why it is dangerous to use all the resources it has to offer at such a rapid rate. Destroying the rainforest by continuing logging and burning of the forest is contributing to climate change and global warming. It is important to preserve the world we live in now so it can last for hundreds of years and we can keep using and renewing resources.
